Since 2006, home visiting professionals and state leaders have collaborated to enhance home visiting and advance sustainable growth. Through consistent and strong performance, strategic partnerships and an unwavering commitment to strengthen families, Virginia’s home visiting programs have become trusted partners in communities throughout the Commonwealth. Together, we have demonstrated the extraordinary power of public-private partnership.  

Early Impact Virginia launches as the Alliance for Early Childhood Home Visiting

2016

The Virginia General Assembly names Early Impact Virginia to lead Home Visiting activities including coordination, workforce development, data reporting, needs assessments and continuous quality improvement

EIV partners with VDH as co-lead of MIECHV program

EIV partners with Iowa Department of Public Health to create the Institute for the Advancement of Family Support Professionals

2018

EIV Leadership Council established to address Children’s Cabinet early childhood priorities

Virginia Plan for Home Visiting Adopted

EIV Leadership Council advances Home Visiting Medicaid Funding Plan

2019

EIV completes community-based home visiting Needs Assessment

EIV leads Institute role in nationwide HV Rapid Response Project

2020

Home Visiting Medicaid Study completed

EIV publishes Home Visiting Strategic Plan

2021

EIV granted non-profit (501c3) status

Awarded HRSA Innovation Grant for Institute training development

EIV and Iowa develop long-term sustainability plan for the Institute

EIV Board adopts new mission
