She leads with empathy, grace, and unwavering dedication, supporting families across Floyd, Montgomery, Pulaski, and Giles Counties. Through times of growth and grief, Carol has held her team together with quiet strength, reflective guidance, and a deep belief in their shared purpose. Her legacy is one of care, connection, and extraordinary leadership.
Outstanding Program
Hampton Healthy Families
Founded in 1993, Hampton Healthy Families is one of Virginia’s original home visiting programs - creating pathways for connection, resilience, and support for families across the region. As a pioneering example of what strong community leadership and sustained support can accomplish, Hampton continues to set the standard for community wide success in home visiting. Three decades of consistent impact is demonstrated in many ways, but most importantly in the ways that families describe the program: Hampton Healthy Families means “partnership, consistency, care, and above all else, FAMILY”.
