Virginia MIECHV Benchmark Data Highlights Another Year of Impact

The recently released benchmark data from Virginia’s Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Program highlights the continued impact of home visiting programs across the Commonwealth during the last fiscal year.

Across Virginia, home visiting programs maintained strong performance across multiple benchmark areas, including maternal and newborn health, child development and school readiness, family safety, and connections to community resources. Home visitors continue to play a critical role in supporting families through regular screenings, developmental monitoring, and referrals that help ensure parents and children receive the services they need.

The data also reflects the strength of the relationships home visitors build with families—supporting parents as they navigate pregnancy, early childhood development, and the many challenges that can arise during the first years of a child’s life.

As we review this year’s results, the benchmark data not only highlights measurable outcomes but also reinforces the value of the work happening every day through Virginia’s home visiting programs.
